At Famous Desert Safari, we aim to make the booking and payment process smooth, transparent, and convenient for all guests. This Payment Policy explains the available payment methods, advance requirements, processing fees, and terms related to confirmations and refunds.
By booking with us, you agree to the payment terms outlined below.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We offer multiple secure payment options for the convenience of our guests:
1.1. Cash Payment on Pickup
- Cash can be paid directly to our driver at the time of pickup.
- Cash payments are accepted in AED only.
- This method is recommended for guests who prefer to avoid processing fees.
1.2. Online / Card Payment (Visa, MasterCard, etc.)
- Guests can pay online using debit or credit cards.
- A 10% processing & payment gateway fee will be added to all online/card payments.
- These charges are applied by banks/payment gateways, not by Famous Desert Safari.
- The final payable amount will be shown before completing the payment.
1.3. Bank Transfer
- Bank transfer payments are accepted for individuals and required for large groups.
- Guests must send a screenshot or proof of transfer for confirmation.
- Any bank fees, international transfer charges, or currency conversion fees must be paid by the sender.
2. Payment Terms for Regular Bookings
2.1. Standard Tours
For most regular bookings (1–10 guests):
- Cash on pickup is allowed.
- Online/card payments can be completed before the tour if preferred.
- Bookings are confirmed only after we send a written confirmation via WhatsApp or email.
2.2. Late Bookings
For last-minute bookings:
- Payment may be required in advance to secure seats, depending on availability and tour type.
3. Payment Terms for Large Groups (25+ Guests)
Large group trips require special arrangements, vehicle allocation, and advance preparations.
Therefore:
3.1. Advance Payment Requirement
- A 50% advance payment is maybe required for all large group bookings & confirmations.
- Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash.
- Online/card payments are accepted but will include the +10% processing charge.
3.2. Remaining Payment
- The remaining 50% must be paid before or on the day of the tour, according to the written agreement.
3.3. Customized Quotation
- Large groups receive a formal quotation with:
- Final price
- Inclusions
- Payment schedule
- Terms & conditions
- Once accepted, the quotation becomes the binding payment agreement.
4. Confirmation of Booking
A booking is considered confirmed only when:
- The required payment (if applicable) has been received,
AND - A written confirmation is sent by our team via WhatsApp or email.
Without confirmation from Famous Desert Safari, the booking is not considered valid.
5. Additional Charges
5.1. Card / Online Payment Fees
- All card and online payments will include an additional 10% processing fee.
- These charges cover:
- Banking gateway fees
- Transaction charges
- Currency conversion (if applicable)
5.2. Last-Minute Requests
Urgent requests for private cars or special arrangements may incur additional fees depending on availability.
6. Refunds & Payment Reversals
Refunds follow our Cancellation & Refund Policy, but general payment rules are:
6.1. Refund Method
- Refunds will be sent back through the same method used for the original payment.
- Cash payments → cash refund
- Card/online payments → refunded back to card/account
- Bank transfer payments → refunded via bank transfer
6.2. Processing Time
- Cash refunds: same day
- Card/online refunds: 5–15 business days (depends on bank/gateway)
- Bank transfer refunds: 3–7 business days
6.3. Gateway Fees
- The 10% card/online payment fee is non-refundable if the payment gateway/bank already deducted it.
This is because the fee is charged by the processor, not by Famous Desert Safari.
7. Currency Policy
- All payments must be made in UAE Dirhams (AED).
- If paying from a foreign account or using an international card, any conversion fee must be borne by the customer.
8. Fraud Protection
To protect customers and the company:
- We may ask for ID verification for suspicious or high-value payments.
- Fake payment receipts or unauthorized chargebacks will be reported to UAE authorities.
- All online/card transactions must match the customer’s name.
